Inspired by cloth baby shoes, this knitted version is too cute! All you need are a couple of small swatches (or re-cycle a UFO in your stash), a small bit of fabric (a fat quarter is more than enough. Add a little elastic, cut 'n sew ....and you'll have an adorable...
Adapted from a hand knitting pattern, this is a beautiful combination of knit and purl stitches, eyelets and cables. 2 methods are demonstrated, one stretchy and a perfect substitute for plain old ribbing. The other has no stretch, better for an all over fabric design or an insert.
