If you have a mid-gauge knitting machine you may not be taking full advantage it. One of the best things of the 6.0, 6.5, or 7mm machines is their ability to knit a WIDE RANGE of yarns.
These 2 swatches were knit with the SAME YARN. It’s Yeoman Sport (100% Superwash wool – one of my all-time favorites).
The yarn is approx 2000 YPP (yards per pound). It knits beautifully on the standard gauge machine. BUT … the swatch on the right is knit on my LK-150 knitting machine (mid-gauge). The drape and hand are beautiful!
So if you have some thinner yarn in your stash … consider giving it a try on your mid-gauge machine. You might be pleasantly surprised!
