What are these?
When knitting in ribbing, sometimes the edge stitches don’t knit correctly. Adding a little weight can help.
These are Wire Type Weight Hangers (the official name from the Brother Manual). They are also referred to as the “7” hangers. The wire slips between the needlebed and rests on the loops between the stitches on the beds. Hang a small ribber weight and you’ll stop the mis-patterning at the edges.
This Claw Weight Hanger is also used to add weight to the edges of your ribbing. Instead of slipping the wire between the beds, it’s used like a regular claw weight. Hanging a ribber weight add more weight to help the edge stitches form properly.
